Welcome!!
I wanted to answer your shopping question. I would really suggest to buy your AG items directly from the company unless you are trying to get a retired item, and then ebay is the way to go for sure. You might stumble across retired items cheaper at thrift stores or from friends, but you can find just about everything on ebay. Since your daughter is primarily thinking about Nellie now, that is great because none of her items have been retired.
Even though I LOVE ebay and shop there almost every day, you are more likely to run into problems than buying directly from AG. I would suggest holding off on buying from ebay until you are looking for something specific that you no longer can get from the company. AG is very good about taking returns and general customer service. If you do end up wanting something that has been retired, board members here are good about giving advice on how to get what you're missing then you can check out ebay or buy from a board member. I don't sell, but I have bought from board members and been very pleased.
I'm sure there are varying opinions, though. Hope that helps!

I Just wanted to say thank you all for your advice I really appreciate it, since my dd b-day is December 28th I think I am going to buy Samantha for her and I agree two are easier to play with.. I want to buy her enough clothes to play dress up with them so I did order the coat today. I really think this will be fun for her ( and me). She is so excited about the movie tonight and she spends hours on line looking at the dolls and shopping, well making a wish list..Thank you all so much for your imput. Does it seem to you that ebay is sometimes more expensive then the store , why is that ???
